Another gorgeous late summer engagement session with another adorable couple!! I’m not even finished shooting this year, and I’m already so pumped for the couple’s and families i get to work with next year!! These two are super sweet. Super super sweet. And so laid back. We didn’t decide on a location until the day before. #cuzthatshowweroll. Tamara mentioned this adorable little church close to where she lives, and I thought it was a great idea! They took their sweet pup, Milo, with them for this part of the session, and he did so good!!
Once we had explored our options at the church, Luke drove their furbaby home, and Tamara did outdoor “quickchange” 😉 Then we headed over to the Blue Heron Reserve for the rest of their session! I love shooting here. The light is delish, and there are so many spots that look fantastic for photos!
I loved this Crescent Beach engagement session!! I’ve never shot here before, hold that, I’ve never even been here before, and it is a JEWEL! We had a gorgeous evening for photos, which actually added an element of difficulty since there were tons of other people out enjoying the beach! We had a ton of fun exploring the area (once we finally FOUND eachother!!) and trying different things to make for some fun images! Can’t wait for their June wedding!!
What an amazing day!!! I still can’t believe I get to wake up so many mornings, and hang out with two people who are promising to pledge their lives to eachother! Tyler & Bailey are awesome. I first met Tyler at Matt & Lisa’s wedding (who just had the most adorable little boy!), and we hit it off bigtime. Tyler asked for a card at the end of the night, and the rest is history! We shot their engagement session at Cascade Falls, and it was amazing!! It got me so excited for their wedding 😀
They planned their wedding at Langley Golf & Banquet Centre , where Bailey got ready in the bride’s room on site. The girls had a relaxing morning getting beautified by Amanda Andrews and Greta Engelsman. They actually ended up totally ahead of schedule, and had to try and distract Bailey from thinking about the ceremony!! “Just talk. I don’t care what you talk about. Just talk”. 😀 I had the pleasure of working with Derek of Millertime Productions for the first time, and he was awesome to work with! Hopefully our paths cross again!
Annnnd, once again, the lovely Kerensa Leigh , hung out with the boys and documented them hanging out and getting ready!
I looove mirrors!!
And I don’t know why I love this shot so much, but it really summarizes what a wedding day looks like. The bride calmly getting ready in the background, kind of oblivious to what’s going on, because her mind is focused on the ceremony that will be starting any minute. Mom laughing at someone off camera, and a bridesmaid who is grabbing something, but who didn’t hear the funny story. I see stuff like this alot, but don’t often get a shot of it!!
An absolutely gorgeous day for an outdoor wedding!! And how freaking adorable are these kiddos??!
Oh Tyler, you win for best reaction to seeing your bride!!
Bailey worked at Disney for quite some time, and absolutely loved it there. There were bits of Disney thrown through their entire wedding, including the vows. So perfect and so unique.
We did some family photos on the golf course, and because it’s super gorgeous we took a few shots of the happy couple before heading off to Fort Langley for more photos!
haha, no idea what was said, but this pretty much sums this group up in a nutshell 😉
See? Disney! I can honestly say that Tyler loved this moment. He wished it could last forever. But alas, all good things must come to an end…
WHIT WHEW!! Gorgeous ladies!
Oh my. my my my.
Then back to Langley Golf Centre for the reception! So many heartfelt and hilarious speeches, a fantastic dinner, a great dance party, and we topped it off with an awesome sparkler shot at the end of the night!! Tyler & Bailey, wishing you both much happiness!! We loved being a part of your big day!!
AHHH This wedding!! I knew I was going to absolutely love this day, for multiple reasons. 1. Alicia is my cousin, and is totally rad. Sweet as can be, absolutely gorgeous, and tons of fun. 2. Garret is not my cousin, but is equally sweet, not totally bad-looking, and kinda hilarious himself. 3. The dress. Need I say more?? 4. Their engagement session was rad, so I knew their wedding would be too. 5. THAT DRESS!!! So that’s a short summary of how I arrived at my feelings 😉
Alica was totally calm, and having a great time hanging out with her sisters during hair and makeup. Her makeup was already done by the time I had arrived, and it looked fantastic. The ladies at Gente Bella are awesome! And of course, Montana Bullied, did an AMAZING job on the girls’ hair! I love working with Montana. She’s creative, but chill, and does such a wonderful job! Once everyone was beautified and dressed, we headed off to a private residence for one of my favorite first looks everrrrr.
In the meantime, one of my favorite people, Kerensa , spent a few minutes with the guys before meeting us for the first look!
So. This first look. ohmagoodness. Alica wrote Garret a letter, and then waited behind him until he finished. Then he turned around, saw the girl he’d be spending the rest of his life with, his best friend, his soul mate, and they embraced like noone was watching. Best EVER.
Since this property is a dream to shoot at, we hung out for a bit, before making our way to Harrison for some photos before the ceremony!
I finally got to shoot a wedding at Shelby’s Pond , and it absolutely didn’t disappoint!! The owners are phenomenal, and the property is stunning!! Alicia & Garret did a beautiful job decorating, and once again, we had an amazing dinner provided by Cookies Grill ! The night was spent mingling, eating, drinking, listening to hilarious and emotional speeches and stories, taking loads of selfies, and eating tons of cake. Alicia & Garret, we were so stoked to hang out with you, and wish you every happiness moving forward!!
This couple is a riot. It’s so cool to me to have so many couples that I really actually LIKE to hang out with!! We have tons in common (with the exception of Star Trek and Dr. Who) and we share a very similar sense of humor. We had a beautiful evening roaming around Clearbrook Park, finding some gorgeous spots, getting to know eachother more, and laughing our arses off. I absolutely can’t wait for your wedding next year!!
I’m always curious to know – which image is your favorite?? Let me know!
