I’ve got to admit. I’ve been looking forward to this wedding for a while!!! Amanda and I used to work together at the best flooring store this side of the Port Mann . Along with Jack, the 3 of us had many hilarious times in the store!! Almost like having a sister that doesn’t steal your clothes and a brother that you don’t have to deal with outside of work hours… Not like Amanda would ever fit my clothes – pretty sure they’d wrap around her twice… But that’s neither here nor there 😉 Amanda and I got along like peas in a pod. She’s one of the sweetest people I know; totally non-judgmental, secure in who she is, and is just in general, PLAIN. OLD. AWESOME. I was pretty excited when she started dating Justin. I went to school with his older brother, Clayton , who was always totally chill, and I thought, well, if this kid’s anything like his brother, they’ll be a perfect match! Well, as it turns out, they are. I’m so stinkin happy for you both, and was beyond stoked to be a part of your wedding. Oh and p.s.? Your friends are awesome tooRach and I had an awesome time, and I hope you guys love the photos!!
We started the day at Amanda’s parents, where she and her family and her bridesmaids were getting hair and makeup . Amanda’s mom bustled around making sure we had coffee, tea and monkey bread at all times. Mand was cool as a cucumber, but excited to see Justin! Once hair and makeup were all finished, Mand got into her STUNNING wedding dress with the help of her mom, sisters and bridal party! She started to tear up when she saw herself in the mirror. It’s one thing to plan a wedding day for months and months, but when it actually arrives?! Ahhh, the nerves, and excitement and anticipation!!
Then Justin showed up and we hustled him out to the backyard for their intimate first look. It’s so special to have that first moment with just the two of you, (and the Urban Fig Paparazzi of course) and Justin and Mand were so happy to see eachother. From there we made our way (after 2 wrong turns… I guess that’s what happens when you rent a limo from Vancouver?) to Sandpiper Golf Course and Rowena’s Inn on the River for formal pics! This is one of my FAVORITE spots in the valley to shoot. It is absolutely gorgeous every which way you turn. And there is so much variety in one location! We had a blast running around, using the spot to it’s full potential! Oh, and those amazeballs bouquets you see? All done by the super talented Blooms in Design!![pinit]
But, all good things must come to an end, so after a champagne toast, we headed back to Chilliwack for family photos and to make this all official!! There is no photography permitted in the church, so Rach and I were able to relax for a bit during the ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, guests made their way to the reception hall for dinner, toasts, and hilarious skits! The reception hall looked beautiful with all the draping, and the gorgeous light fixture. All in all, it was a fabulous day!! Thanks again, Justin and Amanda, and I hope God blesses your marriage beyond your wildest dreams. Love you both!!
