Chilliwack Engagement Photographer │ Derek & Beck

This is kind of a funny story. Beck contacted me on Facebook a while ago to talk about wedding and engagement photography and we made plans to meet for coffee. I don’t know her, so it’s always kind of fun to walk into a coffee shop and not really know who you’re looking for? We usually do figure it out pretty quickly though. I’m thinking of maybe wearing a tutu or something. At least then I can tell them – I’ll be the one wearing a tutu. But i think if I did that, there’s a good chance they just wouldn’t show up at all!! Anyways, I walk into Starbucks and there’s a cute couple waiting at one of the tables who both look up rather expectantly when I walk in. I make eye contact, they smile – yup they’re my couple! So I walk over and exchange introductions with Beck, then lean over to shake hands with her fiancee, who says, “Nice to meet you. I’m your cousin.” LOL!! Apparently a cousin that I really don’t see much, and who has gotten a LOT older since the last time I saw him?? so that was fun. 🙂 We also had a ton of fun on our engagement shoot – both of them were super relaxed and Beck was a natural poser. she did mention they do little impromptu shoots quite often… awesome!! Makes my job so easy! enjoy the pics, and stay tuned for their spring wedding!
