Chilliwack Senior Photographer │ A Study in Contrasts

This amazing senior girl is FINISHED high school in a few months – can you say excited??! It’s been a while, or maybe more than just a while, since I was there, but MAN do I remember that feeling! It’s so weird to have school be your whole life and then all of a sudden it’s just… over. And then what? It’s like the whole world opens up! All these opportunities, experiences – ahhhh, it’s just amazing!! We’ve been trying to plan this session forever – literally forever. Like as long as it feels like to go through school for 13 years, almost that long. But life and bad weather and conflicting schedules got in the way, until I got a text from her on a goooorgeous Tuesday afternoon, asking if we could swing it that evening. Um, YES!! Have I mentioned that I love last minute plans? 🙂
I’ve been dreaming up this shot in my head, of a creek through the woods, a gorgeous girl beside, using a super slow shutter speed… And I got to make it happen with Maia!! I’m a sucker for these dramatic, rich shots. After shooting there for a bit, we found this gorgeous field full of yellow flowers (or weeds?) and got some fun, sunny shots there! I love these shots, and Maia, I think you’re just fantastic 🙂 Can’t wait til your prom!!
