I’m leaving soon for a highly anticipated holiday with the love of my life to Florida, but wanted to get this blog post up for poor Esther who has been DYING to see her images!! Hopefully this will tide her over until my return 😉 Although she and Garold are living it up in Jamaica, so her wedding images should be the last thing on her mind!! Well, maybe not the last thing… But close to it!! I mean, all those decisions you have to be making every day is stressful enough! What suntan lotion to wear, what sandals to put on, what beach to visit, what drink to mix… it’s a rough life!
I loved shooting this wedding. Esther said she was a bit nervous when I got there in the morning, but honestly, she didn’t look nervous. She looked happy. so happy. We had experienced torrential downpour the day before and while the wedding day dawned pretty dark and overcast, by noon we had gorgeous sunny weather! And she was marrying her best friend. Who just happens to be one of the sweetest, most genuine guys I’ve ever met! The wedding party was a blast, the decor was perfect, and the people were great. Really really great. And i got to hang out with Charlene again which is always the highlight of my week 😉 Oh, and in case you missed it, we did some photos of the couple in a rowboat. Those got their very own blog post due to their epicness. You don’t want to not see them.
Anyways, without further ado, I present to you Mr & Mrs Broekhuis!! Congrats you two!

I absolutely love it when the groom sends a note or a card to his bride while she is getting ready. Although when it arrives during makeup, that can present a problem… waterproof mascara is a must!
And Charlene hung out with the guys while they got ready!
This is such an adorable shot of the flower girl dreaming about her wedding day!! And dad seeing his baby girl for the first time… ahhhh.
GA GA GORGEOUS!!
Love this shot of Esther being walked down the aisle by her dad.
And then off we went for a full afternoon of photos! It’s so awesome to have a ton of time – we can go to a few different locations, and have no pressure of time constraints! This is one of my favorite locations ever.
Love having an amazing 2nd shooter. She got this shot,
while I got this one a couple seconds later!
ugh, freaking adorable!
And Esther really wanted some shots by and old barn, so we pulled up with our 400′ limo, and knocked on the door! This lovely couple had no problem allowing us to take a few shots, and said that the barn had actually been used in a Kodak commercial quite a few years ago!
And THEN. We went to this amazing location for the highlight of my day – rowboat photos! Don’t forget to check them all out here!
Esther did an amazing job on the reception decor, and while I would love to share more images, I’m trying to keep my posts a little shorter these days 😉 Let’s just say I got to eat Cadbury mini eggs all night 😉
Thank you so much Esther and Garold, for having me and Charlene spend the day with you! We had an amazing day, and I think you guys did too. Enjoy Jamaica!!
