Chilliwack Wedding Photographer │ Josh & Becca

I don’t know what I thought this stunning bride was going to choose for a wedding dress, but I did not expect the dress that she did!! A gorgeous ballgown, draped in silky tulle and dripping in bling. Perfect for her fairytale wedding! We started the day at Becca’s house, where I got some last minutes shots of her and her girls getting ready, and then they piled into the trucks to go off to the chapel. Totally random fact: Josh’s and Becca’s dads are both Harley owners, and had even given eachother the “macho nod” at the Harley shop on occasion! So funny 🙂 So they escorted the bride through town to the ceremony!
I loved the décor at the church – so soft and delicate – perfect for her theme! We ran backstage to meet the pastor and ask permission to get the first kiss shot that Becca wanted, and got to chat with Josh for a minute or two. He was nervous and excited and couldn’t wait to see his bride! His face said it all as he watched her walking down the aisle. That’s my favorite moment in the whole day, the groom seeing his glowing bride for the first time. It’s so awesome. And we can’t forget Becca’s other love!! Miley, her dog, got to walk down the aisle too 🙂 She did awesome, and was totally chill through the whole ceremony!
After the ceremony we took off with the bridal party for some quick shots before lunch. We had a blast with this group!! It was, shall we say, a bit of a challenge to get “normal” shots with them?!! haha! They were tons of fun, and were up for all sorts of craziness. Love the sassy-pants shot of the girls. Suits them perfectly 😉 Oh, and the superhero shirts under the guys’ tuxes?? GENIUS!! Wish we had had more time, cuz we could’ve got some awesome shots with that theme!!
We all ran and grabbed some lunch, and then stopped at the Chilliwack museum for some shots of just Josh & Becca. I had never shot at the museum before, but the pillars and all the white worked fantastic with her theme! It started to drizzle a bit just as we were wrapping up – yay for the rain holding off!!
Love the last 2 Cinderella shots in this series 🙂
With very little time to spare, we hurried off to Langley for the reception at the Langley Golf & Banquet Centre. This is a gorgeous venue! The room is all windows on the one side, overlooking the golf course. Can you say beautiful light??! We ran out in the drizzle for some family photos and then came in for dinner and some wonderful toasts by friends and family. Oh, and did you notice the Cinderella carriage at the cake table? Becca and her dad made it!! no big deal. 🙂 Absolutely love it.
Josh & Becca finished off the program with the cutting of the amazing cake, bouquet and garter toss, and their first dance as husband and wife. Becca, you wanted a fairytale, and you pulled it off beautifully. We had an absolutely wonderful time getting to know your friends and family, and hanging out with you all day. Hope you are having an amazing time in MAUI!!
