I can’t even tell you how excited I was to wake up last Saturday morning to pack my bag and head on over to Meaghan’s house to hang out with her and her family and bridesmaids on her wedding day!!! Meaghan is one of those people that is as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside. And I know people say that a lot, but it is so true. She has a heart of gold, and would do anything for anyone. I think it’s true of her whole family. I got to hang out with them for the day at her her brother’s wedding a few weeks ago, and we had such a fabulous day. So I knew this wedding would be just as awesome!!
I was super stoked to be able to shoot alongside the always wonderful Kerensa Leigh , as well as my amazing friend Larissa, from Lavender Pier Photography. Larissa is a close friend of Meaghan’s, and came along to style the photos. Those two had big plans for photos, but inevitably, spring in the valley had other plans and we had to deal with a LOT of rain in the afternoon. Hopefully we’ll be able to do a bridal shoot in the future, on a glorious sunny evening, and utilize all of their ideas!!
I love the getting ready part of the day. Especially when I’m given a lot of time. I have the opportunity to try for unique angles and compositions that I wouldn’t have if I only have 20 minutes. Oh, and I get to down a mimosa or two. Just kidding. Or not.
Love me some sparkly bokeh!! And yes, that is a black diamond 😉
Meaghan’s friend, Vanessa, from Illusions Hair Salon did an absolutely stunning job on her hair.
One of my favorite shots of the day!! I love the beauty and simplicity of it. GORGEOUS!!
And this one is another favorite!! I love Meaghan’s parents so much it’s almost creepy.
Helloooo, groom in a bowtie! Kerensa got this fantastic shot of Luke while he was getting slicked up.
Meaghan and Luke wanted their day to revolve around their family and friends, and they wanted time to really hang out and enjoy eachother. So we met for a first look, so they could hang out for the afternoon before the ceremony!
looooove 😉
After the first look, we all headed to Garrison Bistro where the happy couple treated us to an amazing lunch! Can you spot Luke in the first image? Totally love that shot 😉
Then we headed out for photos! The weather cooperated for the first little while…
va va voom
STUNNING!!
Loving these bride and groom signs from the wonderful ladies over at Winks Home, Garden & Gifts
Ahhhh, my fave!! Even though it was coming down in buckets here, they worked it, and it was WORTH it!!! And that chandelier??!! So perfect!! A huge thanks to The Rusted Star for their beautiful piece!
This girl… Seriously??!!
Then we met for family photos, before heading off to Eden Mennonite Church, where Pastor Shawn from Promontory Ministries did a wonderful job on the service.
Love the shot on the right from Kerensa’s view on the balcony!!
And how cute is the send-off with bubbles!!
Haha, these two know how to make an entrance 😀
The reception at Squiala Community Hall was so cool. Instead of a sit down dinner, they had servers walking around with trays of appetizers, as well as different food stations set up throughout the hall. It encouraged a ton of mingling, and was so warm and cozy! I absolutely loved it. And they did such a beautiful job decorating. So much hard work goes into a wedding day, and we don’t often realize it!! There were some amazing speeches, hilarious videos, and beautiful slideshow. Then they danced the night away surrounded by friends and family. What a wonderful day. Luke & Meaghan, once again, I’m so happy to have been your photographer!!!!! THank you thank you thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
