Something New?

My favorite part of photography is taking an image that emotes. Something in it that creates a visceral reaction within the viewer. Something that makes you stop and really stare at it. It doesn’t happen often obviously, but I’m hoping it’ll happen more, the more experienced I become! I think that is one of the reasons I feel so drawn to wedding photography, it’s such an emotionally dynamic day! I can’t even get over how excited I am for this wedding season. To spend the day with these wonderful people, getting to know their families and their friends, and just learning about them, and hearing their stories. Weddings turn me into a sentimental mushball. I can’t deny it 🙂 Anyways, there is something besides photography that makes me all limp and weepy and that’s video. Video has this way of making me feel like I know the people that are being captured. It is such an amazing medium and it absolutely fascinates me. It always has – I’ve always been a movie buff, and now I’m obsessed with wedding videography. I can seriously sit in front of my computer for a couple of hours just watching wedding videos. It’s kinda sad, really. LOL But the whole point of this, is that I am going to incorporate a little bit of video into some of my photo shoots. I thought I was pretty cool to think of the term “fusion”, but apparently that is what’s it’s called! Haha I’m just way above the intelligence curve. I’m picturing an engagement session slideshow with a few short video clips that really show the love between the two, and make their personalities shine!! So, without further ado, I would like to show you my first slideshow incorporating photo/video fusion!
